The Blue Dacnis is a small Tanager which is fairly widespread throughout tropical South America and parts of Central America. See the distribution map at xeno-canto.
It is usually found in pairs or as part of a mixed species flock high in the canopy.
They are also sexually dimorphic as you can see from the forth and fifth photos of the female.
